Kate Martin & Sarah Jane Chapman have dedicated their professional lives to helping people feel at peace with their bodies- just as they are. Be With Your Body offers practical wisdom to help you unlock the secrets to a more balanced and fulfilling life. Each episode will immerse you in the world of self-discovery, and help revolutionize the way you relate to yourself and the world around you.

Sarah Jane Chapman

Sarah Jane is a yoga therapist and body worker in Nashville, TN. She completed over 1,000 hours in therapeutic yoga technique and practices from Yoga Well Institute. This is a direct lineage from T.K.V. Desikachar, son of Krishnamacharya, and one of the most prominent leaders in therapeutic yoga. She taught yoga for years to recovering addicts and people in eating disorder recovery at treatment centers around Nashville.  Sarah Jane currently works both in private practice, specializing in people who are in active eating disorder recovery, and also at a Neurotherapy clinic, specializing in helping stroke survivors. She is a member of the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) and the IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapy). She recently self published a therapeutic tarot deck called Be With Your Body Tarot. It’s a tool that has helped hundreds of individuals feel more peace with their bodies. Due to her work and also being a type 1 diabetic, Sarah Jane advocates for bodies of all sizes, ages and abilities to have the support and freedom they deserve. All of her work centers around helping people feel at peace in their bodies, just as they are.  Along with Kate, Sarah Jane hosts the Be With Your Body podcast, which aims to share the 7 Principles of Embodiment with the world. 
Sarah Jane is also a mother and a wife. She loves spending time with her family baking, swimming, and lying in the grass to find shapes in the clouds. 
 

Kate Martin

Kate Martin is a therapist in private practice in Nashville, TN. She has a Masters in Community Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University, and has worked extensively in inpatient treatment settings, outpatient clinics, school settings, and private practice settings over a 15 year career. Kate is trained in Somatic Experiencing Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing,) TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,) DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy,) Experiential Therapy, and Art Therapy. She is a member of the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association, the American Counseling Association, and the National Board for Certified Counselors. Kate is deeply focused on justice and equity, and has a strong personal commitment to being culturally competent with all populations. In her personal life Kate’s most cherished titles are “wife” and “mamma.” She lives in a house on a hillside with her beloved husband and son, and their three emotionally stunted but loveable rescue mutts. Kate spends her free time writing, presenting on topics related to mental health, and doing hobbies that support her own embodiment and recovery, including pottery, photography, and baking. Along with Sarah Jane, Kate hosts the Be With Your Body podcast, which aims to share the 7 Principles of Embodiment with the world.
